In our workshop, we would like to discuss sustainable solutions that enable more equal participation of people with disabilities in the topic of “collaborative editing of documents” in work and learning contexts through the joint, in-depth consideration of real contexts and HCI research methods. To this end, it is not enough to look at technical aids in isolation and it is necessary to examine their application in real-world settings. The aim of the workshop is to gather and discuss diverse perspectives and opinions as well as different approaches in an interdisciplinary combination of researchers, users and groups of people directly and indirectly affected. Joint results produced in the workshop will be published at national and international specialist conferences and thus made available to a broad specialist audience for application and discussion.

We ask interested participants to submit a short position paper (max. 4 pages excl. references) with their ideas on the topic of “collaborative editing” by 30.06.2024 via the ConfTool (additional information see below) of the conference and, if successfully accepted, to present it on site at the workshop (conference participation required). In addition, there is the possibility to publish the contributions in the GI Digital Library (further information after acceptance of the contribution).

  • 19.07.2024: Submission deadline
  • 25.07.2024: Notification of acceptance
  • 28.07.2024: Submission deadline for camera-ready version
  • 01.09.2024: Workshop at MuC 2023 (on site).
  • Submission via ConfTool: www.conftool.com/muc2024
  • Template: Submissions need to follow the respective ACM templates and the SIGCHI Accessibility guidelines.
  • Length: Max. 4 pages excl. references and short biographies.
  • Language: Preferably English. Papers resulting from the workshop will be published in English.
